The maintenance of elevators mainly includes daily cleaning, lubrication, inspection and replacement of components, adjustments, and safety testing, all aimed at ensuring the safe operation of the elevator and extending its service life. Specific contents, categorized by maintenance frequency and core modules, are as follows:

  Daily maintenance content

Basic maintenance performed daily or weekly to prevent failures from occurring:

Cleaning: Remove dust and debris from the car, landing door sill, buttons, and machine room to prevent dust from causing malfunctions in door locks or relays.

Lubrication Check: Confirm that the oil levels in key components such as the traction machine, guide rails, and guide shoes are normal (the oil level should be midway between the marked lines), and that the steel cables are free of dryness.

  Functional testing:

Check the smoothness of the door switch and the sensitivity of the safety touch panel.

Verify the effectiveness of emergency alarm devices (such as walkie-talkies) and the lighting system.

  Regular maintenance items

Perform according to the statutory cycle (based on TSG T5002-2017 standard):

  Bi-monthly maintenance (every 15 days):

Check the brake clearance (≤0.7mm) and the quality of the traction oil.

Test the light curtain response time (≤0.1 second) and clear debris from the pit.

  Quarterly maintenance (every 3 months):

Adjust the engagement depth of the door lock (≥7mm) and the deviation of the traction rope tension (≤5%).

Lubricate the guide shoes and guide rails (the clearance between the sliding guide shoes should be 1–2 mm).

  Half-year maintenance (every 6 months):

Test the speed limiter-safety gear interlock (braking acceleration ≤ 0.2 m/s²).

Check the insulation resistance of the control cabinet (power circuit ≥ 0.5 MΩ).

  Annual Maintenance:

Replace the traction machine gear oil (ISO VG220 standard) and steel wire ropes that have exceeded the wear limit (excessive number of broken wires or wear difference ≥1.5mm).

Braking test at 125% of the rated load and balance coefficient testing (40%-50%).

  Key Component Maintenance Highlights

Specialized maintenance for the core system:

Traction System: The steel wire ropes require lubrication with a specialized grease that penetrates deeply into the rope (apply 1 kg of grease every 40 meters, at intervals of 2 weeks) to prevent wire breakage.

Door system: Clean the door tracks and adjust their verticality (gap: 1–6 mm) to prevent jamming.

Safety Device: Test the buffer oil level monthly, and replace the safety clamp wedges annually (if wear exceeds 15%).
